Rosie's Chilli Sauce

A versatile chilli sauce to use in things or on things!

Fresh Red Chilli , deseeded and chopped

Onions (medium) , Peeled and chopped
500 g
Vinegar, Malt distilled
1pint 10fl oz
900 ml
Tomatoes , chopped
500 g
Sugar, Soft Brown

250 g
Mustard , dry powder
4 tsp
Sea Salt
2 tsp
10 fl oz
300 ml


Wash and rinse the bottles and place in a warm oven to dry and sterilise Place all of the prepared ingredients except the sugar into a large pan and cook gently until soft, around 20-30 minutes Add the sugar and cook on until thick Put through a liquidiser or processor. Sieve to ensure smooth with no lumps Reheat very gently and then bottle, sealing immediately
